Ceanothus gloriosus is a species of shrub in the Buckthorn family (Rhamnaceae) known by the common name Point Reyes ceanothus. It is endemic to California, where it is known from the coastline of the San Francisco Bay Area and areas north and south. WebNative to (or naturalized in) Oregon: Broadleaf evergreen, low growing shrub, 2 ft (0.6 m) tall and 10 ft (3 m) wide. Leaves small, 6-12 mm long, glossy and dark green, undulating surface. Flowers very dark blue, in short clusters, 2.5-5 cm long, blooms in early summer (May-June). Sun to partial shade. Needs good drainage.
