WebAug 5, 2024 · The 110 meter figure is for 3.0 mm filament that actually is 3.0 mm in diameter. As you (correctly) note, most 3.0 mm filament is often actually closer to 2.85 mm. In that case, the correct figure is indeed around 125 meters. Note that this figure is for PLA filament (see e.g. my answer here ). WebWhen dealing with various 3D printer filaments, I encountered similar challenges, so I created Fused Filaments to make things easier. Many of these problems stem from one fundamental issue: filament is normally sold by weight, but filament usage is often expressed as volume (or length - which directly translates to volume for a given diameter).
WebThe filament of the PRO-3 Series is 100% tangle-free, with no overlapping or crossing. The accuracy of PRO-3 is extremely precise because eachinch of filament is measured by laser to ensure it can be printed smoothly. ... Solid Color PRO-3 PLA 1.75mm Filament, 10m Length, White & Blue. GSM is the metric measurement of the weight of a fabric—it is a critical parameter for any textile product. The weight may affect density, thickness and many physical properties of the fabric, such as strength.
WebOnly measurement, which accurately tells you how much you can print with your purchased filament, is volume in cm 3. Filament vendors should provide price per cm 3 which doesn't happen now. So I made this simple tool for you to calculate it. Example: You are offered 100m of PLA both in 3mm and 1.75mm for $25. With 3mm you will buy 2827cm 3 but ...
