Analysis of the intracellular mediators of integrin α5/Fn1 activity focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and integrin-linked kinase (ILK) reveals that FAK, but not ILK, is also required for lens fiber morphogenesis. ... WebIn this review, we provide the comprehensive overview of >20 years of investigations on the role and regulation of focal adhesion kinases in blood platelets, highlighting common and distinctive features of FAK and Pyk2 in hemostasis and thrombosis. WebNov 15, 2024 · Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is a non‐receptor tyrosine kinase located at the extracellular matrix cell adhesion site. This kinase mediates downstream signalling cascades on the cell‐extracellular matrix of integrins, cytokine receptors, growth factor receptors and G‐protein‐coupled receptors. WebConclusion: This study proves that downregulation of signaling pathway of FAK is involved in ethanol-induced apoptosis in human skin fibroblasts. The work also indicates a protective influence of HA on FAK activity in human skin fibroblasts exposed to ethanol. Keywords: apoptosis, skin fibroblast, focal adhesion kinase, hyaluronic acid, ethanol.
